       Southern Iowa Agricultural Heritage Foundation Inc. is in the process of becoming
a non-profit business established in Clarke County, Iowa. This business is to preserve
the agricultural heritage of southern Iowa by providing agricultural history, education
and entertainment activities.


       The members of this group have come
to the realization there is a growing
interest among the young and old for
activities involving the remembrance
and reenactments of early farming
methods and entertainment. There is
also the interest in historical preservation.


       The group plans that preservation and entertainment activities revolve around
machinery shows with the presence of antique and modern machinery, Interactive
demonstrations may include wheat threshing, saw mill operation, horse and tractor drawn plow operation, and other historic usage of agriculturally related machinery along with family entertainment to include hay, sleigh, and horse/buggy rides, and many other possibilities. Equipment used will be the group's old tractors and machinery.
